Now, before you go on a wailing spree, I have found a few sites that disprove this.

The Bible NEVER states an exact date of Jesus' birth, so, how could the Christian Religion even try to say it was exactly this date?

During the time when Conversion to christianity was being forced throughout europe, the religious officials decided that they needed a celebration that could combat the non-believer's winter festivals. Thus, they celebrated the feast of the first Nativity.

However, there is even more proof as such. The bible also mentions that Sheperds were tending their flocks. In history, it has been recorded that if they were indeed doing so, it would have had to been close to Springtime. This is because during the lambing season, they can't afford to lose any infants.

Say what you will, say I'm a horrible person, but once people realize this, perhaps they'll stop saying 'IT'S ABOUT JESUS'. No, the holiday was about combatting non believer's celebrations so they could drown out the other religions.

Kinda makes me think of Easter in a way. Although Christmas has the same date yearly, Easter is meant to be the day Jesus died, and Easter Monday the day he was resurrected, yet, Easter is on a different day every year, sometimes even different months.

I'm just saying, Jesus was alive sooooooo long ago that it would in fact be easy to mistake dates.

Now, I am Christian myself, but I've learned to not take everything the Christian/Catholic community has to say seriously. Ever since I was little, I'd been hearing that so many things in the Bible have been mistranslated, so 8 mostly live by love everyone regardless of their actions, which it seems a lot of other people in the community don't like doing, but rather live by every passage in the Bible instead of focus on loving one another.

Anyways, personally I feel like Jesus was born Christmas Eve. Everything just seems so much more peaceful in the world in Christmas Eve I find, almost as if Jesus making us all feel his and God's love on that night. Christmas Day might be when the Shepard's told people of what they witnessed the night prior?

Just my personal opinion though.
