Why by Foedus-Stamps Why by Foedus-Stamps
I really can't explain this stamp without sounding like an ass, so I will.

I have a friend, he is gay, super flaming shat-out-the-sun gay. It pisses me off, but he's a mean partner in Call of Duty, so he's cool in my book.

ANYWAY. The problem with him, is he uses 'I'm GAY' before every freaking opinionated sentence. 'I'm gay, and I don't like that', 'I'm gay, and this is gross', 'I'm gay, and I don't like meat', etc, etc. You can tell when this is a bit annoying.

I've noticed at the gay bar a few others do it too. I don't know if it's the area, but holy shit, if you have to announce you're GAY in a GAY bar, you know something is wrong. Jeez...

It's more of a younger internet user trend. Most people won't care, but some people can't identify by hobbies and personality alone and have to throw meaningless info out there. I find it super obnoxious when someone makes an entire list of ways they label themselves.

I read the words "I'm gay, and I don't like meat" and my first thought was "Somehow I doubt that!":iconlennyfaceplz:
I don't think I can turn my That's What She Said Radar off.

And I agree with this so much you wouldn't even believe. I'm the one sitting in the corner going "Well, I'm asexual, and can everybody please stop shoving sex shit into everything for just five minutes?"

The reason why people like to announce their sexuality is because we live in a heteronormative society where everyone is assumed to be straight until said otherwise.

That would be because the people you know are open about their sexualities, as are most people online. It's a lot easier to say what you identify as online (depending on the website), and it's easier to find people who support non-heterosexual identities on the internet than in real life. In real life, however, it's not as easy always for people who aren't straight to say what they identify as because of homophobia and other factors. People do also have a tendency to assume people are straight until said otherwise, hence the phrase "coming out of the closet".

I totally agree! I have a friend who, for some reason, always needs to announce her being gay to the entire pep squad... It's super annoying, and I wish she'd stop So annoyed

Thanks for this! I was starting to think I was the only one who thought so. Right away people want to pull the homophobic card. It's like, are you stupid? Do you not know the definition of homophobia? I.am.not scared of gay people. Really now. It's ridiculous.

It's funny that people think that they can shove something in your face constantly and you need to be ok about it. It doesn't matter what it is, it's rude and annoying.

I like how the only reason someone who admittedly pisses you off is "ok" is that they play a game with you. 9_9

That sounds awful.

It really does annoy me that I've seen posts on tumblr that are nothing more than "im gay and i cant drive" and 'im sleepy and gay" and they have 20,000+ notes.

Not because these people are gay, because they announce it to the world in any completely irrelevant conversation. Odd how I've yet to see a straight person do this. Stare

Why must gay people tell every straight person their sexuality a million times.
Why do gay people take straight people as a threat.
Man, do they need to stop forcing their sexuality on everyone.

why do straight people feel the need to make their presence known everywhere by making fun of gay people by going, "Hahaha, that's gay"
why do straight people tell those of other sexualities to, "stay in the closet"?
Man, they need to stop forcing their sexuality on everyone.

There's a difference between being "out" and someone actively plastering sexuality over every conversation.

Aren't they also, I dunno, a whole **person** with interests that don't involve genitals?

I agree.

I'm on the asexual spectrum and it's annoying.

Especially when it has no relevance to what's going on. But even airing every little sexual thought you have when there is someone of interest is over the top. I *know* you aren't just a horny animal, I know there's a mind in there- it's not just my orientation speaking.

I had a friend who always posted about his boyfriends. Nothing explicit or anything, he just...posted about it. All. The.Time. Like, yes, I know you like men, a lot, but you don't have to remind me and all your friends about it every hour. Plus this guy had serious issues with the guys he got. They all took advantage of him because he's a bit mentally slow, and they always asked him for money. I felt bad for him though, you know? I wanted to tell him to take a break from the dating scene to REALLY think about the guys he just hooked up with and their bad motives, but IF I DID, I would be told to "quit being homuphoobiicccc!" Buttttttt, my friend IS or so seems to be taking a break from the dating world and I applaud him for it since he seemed to get hurt a lot and not know why. I just hope he talked to others about it and his experiences so he would be able to date safely.

Tell a straight person to take a break from dating: Person agrees and thinks about things

Tell someone who's gay or bi to take a break from dating: "OMG SHOTP BEAN AGINST GAYSSSS!!!"

Apparently it's evil to help people with rebounding so they don't get into a mess of trouble or regrets. I've rebounded before, and it's something that's regrettable even if you don't do anything regrettable with the person; you just feel stupid for finding anyone attractive just because you miss being hugged and kissed. *Slaps past self*

You're awesome! Learning from mistakes if way better than not. It can be especially frustrating when trying to help a friend from making harmful mistakes and people see you as being a jerk for it. Now bring sexual orientation into it and you get full on attacked :|

"Hhahaha, if I wasn't straight already, XD".

There's a difference between an explicit statement and an irrelevent implication.

It's like the non-white individuals waving the racist card so they could be jerks. Or women waving the misogynist card so they could be jerks. Or the self diagnosed "autistic" individuals waving their diagnosis so they could be jerks. Or elderly people waving their age so they can be jerks.

Guess what? Equality mean if you do something, you're held responsible for it. No matter who you are.

Things always get turned around. Now straights are the devil, and gays are the angels.

But yeah, gays are not perfect. Just because you're gay, doesn't mean you don't have to work, and it doesn't mean that everyone on earth has to be nice to you.

If a gay acts like an asshole and you call him/her out, chances are you'll be made out as a homophobic, biased, discriminatory asshole. Which is complete bullshit. But hey, the same thing is happening with blacks.

Because liberals are fucking stupid. They are stuck in the 1960s and equate everything to the Civil Rights Movement of that decade. Michael Sam was the next Jackie Robinson -- only Jackie Robinson had talent and Michael Sam didn't even play a fucking game.
