Sorry Yo by Foedus-Stamps Sorry Yo by Foedus-Stamps
I am sick and tired of black people thinking that they were the only race oppressed by slavery. "Oh we were put through hell," "Oh we were treated like shit," "Oh we didn't deserve it."

News. Fucking. Flash.

While yes, slavers did hunt for able bodied slaves, it wasn't like many of them really fought back. Why do you ask?

Many of their own family members would SELL each other off to get money. Hmmm interesting isn't it?

Another thing that really irritates me is the fact that they think they were the only race that was enslaved. Mind you, there are a few that aren't as ignorant as this, but the majority that I have met and known, are dumb enough to think it.

No, see, we made the Japanese Americans work in Internment camps very similar to what Adolf Hitler did to the Jews.

Many people right now, this very moment, this very SECOND, are being bought, sold, traded and otherwise slaved off to people and countries to fight their wars, fuck their men, and achieve their sick fantasies.

You think grown men and women are subject to this? Not in the least, there is a growing child pornography underground going off in the paraphilia world, people are selling little girls and boys to pedophiles.

You aren't the only ones suffering, and you won't get a pity party from me. Yeah, slavery is bad, but it's in the past for you, It's not for these modern day slaves, and until ALL slavery is abolished, I won't be content.

You know what, I completly agree with you. It was a horrible thing to happen to those people but that's in the past and now slavery affects people no matter what color they are, especially women and children. Like you said, there are countless children at this very moment who are forced to live a waking nightmare day and night being sexually, physically, emotionally abused whether it be boys or girls, white or black, by their own parents or their captors if they're sold into slavery or kidnapped. Yes I realize it was hard on you people back then and I feel sorry you had to go through that but today is what we need to focus on; we need to focus on all these innocent children and people being sold into slavery and having other horrific things done to them along with that. So with that said, there is absolutley no reason you should be thinking you were and are the only ones being enslaved.

Even though I live in Canada and not America, I still feel for all the atrocities going on there and also anywhere else in the world since after all it isn't the only country that has bad things happen in it. I'm a very caring and nice person but when people think somethingobviously untrue like they were the only ones enslaved and all that nonsense is what angers and annoys me...

In the past century more slaves have lived out their lives in china and India, sperarately, than were every owned in the united states over a three hundred year period. (There were a total of 6 million slaves in america throughout history. There were just as many in JUST one century in both china and india.)

People complaining about slavery in america aren;t anti-slavery. They're just self pitying racists.

My dad told me and told others that the word 'slave' originated from the word 'Slavs', some of the Slavic people from the Slavic regions of Europe were slaves in Europe by other European groups.

Not many people know this but the first slave owner in America WAS a black man, he owned a woman back in 1654.

In my high school American History class we once had an African-American substitute teacher tell us that all white people should apologize for their families owning slaves in the past. We all looked at her like she was nuts. I told her "Hey, blacks weren't the only slaves and I'm not apologizing for what I didn't do. Also, if someone deserves an apology it's the Native Americans so shut up and let us do our work."

Many don't know that American Indians were also taken as slaves, but they weren't as wanted slaves because they often refused to work and ran off.

Fun fact 1: virtually every race on Earth has been oppressed and enslaved at some point. Even anglos were ensalved by the Italians during the reign of Rome.

Fun fact 2: the overwhelming majority of black slaves taken out of Africa weren't kidnapped by white slavers, but bought from black slavers.

Many African slaves were p.o.w. The English made a promise to certain tribes saying tha if you can find us slaves, we won't make your tribe slaves.

Thanks for making this stamp. I'm very tired of people of the race I was born into whining about slavery of the blacks. For me personally, if it didn't touch you personally or if you have never experienced slavery, you shouldn't feel entitled to complain as if you did. All it does is make one think that everyone of another race is out to get them. The funny thing is, from all the research I've been doing on the subject, blacks didn't have the worse of it, even during that time! Many whites were enslaved(the so-called indentured servant) and treated so much more terribly simply because they were easier to acquire and less expensive than black people. Even some blacks had slaves! We don't even acknowledge the suffering of these two groups. Maybe because they simply didn't decide to let it get their panties in a bunch for generation after generation. They decided to go on and raise their children to be something in the world.

Each generation needs to move on. I think instead of dwelling in the past and "never forgetting what happened to your people," we need to remember that we're all human and capable of enslaving each other. All of our ancestors enslaved our own people, our families, other races, other countries, and even ourselves. We all must make the best of ourselves regardless of any past.

It's saddening that there is still slavery today. Some get sold into it and others get kidnapped or lured. And yes I agree, I too don't harbor sympathy to any African American (or anyone) who wallows in the past and have the "my ancestors were slaves and bleh bleh bleh bleh, I'm en-fuckin'-titled!" mentality and choose to hinder themselves and their full potential because of it. I don't care if I am white, just because it happened in the past doesn't mean I personally did it, but there's always someone who thinks I should repent for my ancestors' actions that happened a 100+ years ago. I don't even know my family tree so how am I supposed to know that my ancestors were indeed the source of their ancestors suffering? I'm not going to go the extra mile to backtrack my family lineage just so I can feel guilty for something I didn't do.

Yes, I do understand that it was a horrible thing, but it's in the past. We are to learn from our past, not LIVE in it. That's the problem with some people today. They rather bitch, whine, and complain how great their life was before their current struggle. Then put in some effort to get out of it. "But it's so hard!!!" Boo hoo, you were born with a brain and developed at least some form of common sense, wits, and intellect. Use them and use them well. Sure you might not get exactly what you want in the end, but the satisfaction of knowing you did something to get out of that rut is part of the reward you reap.

Wallowing in the past (that's not even personally theirs) doesn't do their ancestors justice or make them proud. I wouldn't be surprised if a good sum of them would be rolling in their graves. Their ancestors, though having been slaves; worked hard and looked towards the future and desired that their descendants to do the same (what I meant by that was working hard for their daily bread, not be a slave or a dependent to the system) so they too may have a better quality of life. Not wallow in the past and allowing themselves to remain stuck in their current situation all because they chose to whine and bitch about what "the white man did" instead of going out and working to get them out of the rut they're in. Sure finding a job is hard but how do you know you won't get one unless you go out and search for one?

To those who are on their pursuit to happiness and working hard to achieve their goals, kudos to you. May you get to where you are going without much hardship.

We all may be different colors but we're still human. So lets get together and make a rainbow mother fuckers!

The problem is with most people who are 'oppressed and downtrodden' in society, I dont' think they realize how terrible their life really COULD be. What I hate even more is that black people get pissed off when they get grouped as thugs and shit, but from what I've seen, there are more racist black people than there are racist white people anymore. Talk about a double standard, right?

What ticks me off even more is that while they try to snarl and say that they're human, they go on raping, killing, robbing, stealing, etc (their faces are usually on the news more than white people, from what I notice in my area). They expect people not to judge them for such things, but when some of them walk around with their pants down under their asses, and talk like they just had a lobotomy.... I really can't respect them.

There are a lot of great people, there really are, but in my area, I see the worst of every race, and it's because of such things like that, that people get so ornery around each other.

you're right. i think the main reason why, (im assuming you're in the USA), ppl here believe that its 'only' black ppl who was enslaved was b/c it's the most recent. which is just ignorant b/c they kind of did that to the chinese at the same timeline... it just wasn't very well known. before that, with the ppl who's bloodlines is traced back to europe, they enslaved their own people. and back tracing from there, there are high chances that their ancestors also enslaved some ppl in the middle east and far east and northern africa (which isnt filled with just black ppl....) And that's just going with the blood tracing of the white ppl that came before the civil war. (forgot to include native americans too, also enslaved).

for other countries, there was slaves as well, just with different races, but still slavery.

today, in USA, slavery still exists.... its underground... and it's pretty fucked up.... i think the last slave ring that was caught was filled with russian prostitutes, there's a koren slave trade in californa that was busted too. and these are pretty recent, (i think within the last 10 years or so)

How upsetting of some people to think! Whomever says that certainly did not read enough history books during their school times. :s
And it is not just black people who think that. I've sat in a class where I have heard other people who assumed black people were the only people who were slaves (but a few of those people also though the Holocaust was a lie. Wtf!?). Honestly I wish people could just read up on some history.

The prime example is the movie called Taken, it's pretty eye opening. It's about the modern slave trade and such.

Note, if you do check out the movie, there are some things in it that you might find unsettling. If so, good, it's supposed to make you feel like that.

Sell their family for money, these people are getting more. Causes are that many don't know how to overcome their problems, living in their small worlds where they are affected by mas culture and unreal promises, looses their self by following lays.
even worse there are some persons who will go in slavery themselves, enough stupid to believe, that they have choice. Sheep's always feel free.
