Americans have indeed become cowardly. How you ask me?
How could they possibly have become sniveling little bitches?
In 1773, The Boston Tea Party (in which the Republican Tea Party is WRONGFULLY named after) occurred, when citizens dressed up as mohawk indians and threw the tea into the harbor to protest the British Parliament's Tea Act.
In 1775, Massachusetts had been declared in a state of rebellion, Shots were fired at lexington and George Washington was appointed General of the new Continental Army. The Battle at Bunker Hill occured, and the Declaration on the Causes and Necessity of Taking Up Arms stating that Americans are "resolved to die free men rather than live as slaves" was made
In 1776, the founding fathers begun a war against the British Crown, and in time, successfully won their freedom.
Many wars have been fought with blood, sweat, and tears. Perhaps I'm the only one to see that the American Government has overstepped its boundaries. Perhaps I am the only American that watches fellow citizens walk back and forth like zombies, never questioning, and never rising up when they have been wrongfully treated. They gather in the streets with signs, waving them around and smoking weed and dirtying up our streets more than they are. (And you can not deny that the Occupy Movements have not kept themselves clean, bodily or otherwise) A woman was being RAPED, and the only thing they did was shine their flashlights on the assailant. People in the streets are being beaten and taken away by cops for the mere reason that they looked at them wrong, and NO-ONE DOES ANYTHING ABOUT IT. They scream about solidarity and crow about how they're changing the world, but they don't seem to realize they're only moving backwards. I am tired of waiting for laws that constrict my freedom to pass, and I'm tired of sitting down and watching it happen.
This time it isn't a separate power crushing down on us. It's our own government, and people don't have the gall or the strength to stand up and push back. At this point, it is in MY OWN OPINION that peaceful protest is no longer an option.
But hell, that just makes me a war mongering asshole.
